About AILET 2020

AILET ADMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT : 2020-2021

AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) 2020 is a university-Level Law Entrance exam conducted by National Law University, Delhi for admission to B.A. LL.B (Hons.), LL.M and Ph.D. Programmes Every Year. This year, AILET 2020 is scheduled for May 05, 2020.

All India Law Entrance Exam is law level university exam. The exam conducted by National Law University in Delhi. This exam conduct for admission BA LLB(Hons.), LL.M and Ph.D. programs.

Last Date for Submission of Application Form is April 8, 2020. 

Eligibility Criteria for filling the Application Form:

For B.A.LL.B. (Hons.)- Five-Year Programme

Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or Equivalent Examination with 50% marks. The candidates appearing in 12th standard examination in March/April and 2020 candidates are also apply.

Total Seats: 80 [70 Seats on merit through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and 10 Seats for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit (5 seats for Foreign Nationals & 5 seats for OCI/PIO)]. Foreign Nationals are exempted from AILET. Foreign Nationals to be eligible should have obtained 65% marks in the qualifying examination.

Reservation: 15% for SC candidates, 7.5% for ST candidates and 5% for Persons with Disabilities.

Note: One additional supernumerary seat for kashmiri migrants. Two additional supernumerary seats for Residents of Jammu & Kashmir.

For LLM.-One-Year Programme

Eligibility:- LL.B. or an Equivalent Law Degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disabilities). The candidates appearing in final year LL.B. Examination in April/May, 2020 can also apply.

Total Seats: 80 [70 Seats on merit through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and 10 Seats for direct admission to Foreign. Nationals on merit (5 seats for Foreign Nationals & 5 seats for OCI/PIO)]. Foreign Nationals are exempted from AILET (No. of seats may vary).

Reservation: 15% for SC candidates, 7.5% for ST candidates, 5% for Persons with Disabilities.

Note: One additional supernumerary seat for kashmiri migrants.

For Ph.D.-Programme:-

Eligibility:-  LL.M. Degree with 55% Marks or its Equivalent (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disabilities). For detailed eligibility conditions  visit University websitewww.nludelhi.ac.in

Interested candidates Shall apply only online on payment of Rs.3,050/- (Rupees Three Thousand Fifty Only) for General Candidates, Rs.1,050/- (Rupees One thousand Fifty only) in case of SC/ST and Persons with Disabilities (PD) along with copy of requisite Caste/Persons with Disabilities Certificate. Below Poverty Line (BPL) applicants of SC/ST Category are exempted from application fee. 

AILET 2020 Exam Pattern:-

The AILET has 150 Multiple Choice Questions for 150 marks that must be attempted within 1 hour 30 minutes. The AILET has sections on English, General Knowledge, Basic Mathematics, Logical Reasoning and Legal Aptitude.

• General Knowledge (Current Affairs, General Science, History, Geography, Economics, Civics)

• Legal Aptitude

• Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability)

10 Marks

Negative marking:- There will be Negative Marking in AILET 2020-21. The criteria for negative marking will be based on the formula 0.25*4=1 that means per wrong answer 0.25 Marks will be deducted. Four wrong answers deduct your 1 Mark.
